Pace Ring is a free online running metronome.
You can use Pace Ring without creating an account or providing your name or email address. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the website.
Information stored in your browser
Pace Ring saves your cadence, selected sound and step mode in your browser so you don’t have to set them again each time.
It also remembers whether the short Ring introduction has been shown.
Pace Ring does not measure your steps, track your runs or request GPS location.
Pace Ring does not automatically record or upload diagnostic logs. If you choose to send us a troubleshooting file, we use it to investigate your enquiry.
You can remove saved settings and local diagnostic records by clearing Pace Ring’s site data in your browser.
Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and performance, including page views, traffic sources and loading times.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies to identify visitors or track them across websites.
Hosting and third-party services
Pace Ring is hosted on Cloudflare Workers Static Assets.
Cloudflare may process technical information, including IP addresses, browser and request details, to deliver the website, maintain its performance and protect it against security threats.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to share. We use this information to respond to your enquiry.
Email correspondence is handled through Google’s Gmail service.
These services may process information in countries outside your country of residence, subject to their applicable privacy and data protection arrangements.

Why we process information
Where personal data processing is subject to applicable data protection laws, we rely on legitimate interests where appropriate to operate and secure the website, understand its performance and respond to enquiries.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
How long information is kept
Your saved settings remain in your browser until you clear them or your browser removes the stored data.
Any diagnostic records saved on your device remain there until you delete them or your browser removes the data.
We keep email correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, manage related follow-up requests or meet applicable legal obligations.
Cloudflare and Google retain information according to their services, settings and applicable retention policies.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, as well as to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can contact us to exercise these rights. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
